Created in 1982 by Dr Lawrence F. Tonye Biaka with the objective of providing health care services to fellow Cameroonians, the  ST. Veronica’s Medical Centre (Biaka health complex) has grown over the years to an ultramodern medical facility, providing quality health care with academic centres to produce health care professionals. Today, the centre boasts of  the St. Veronica’s Polyclinic, the St. Francis School of Nursing and Midwifery, the St. Francis Higher Institute of Nursing and Midwifery and the St. Francis School of Health Sciences.

Consisting of seven departments including Emergency, Paediatrics, General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Laboratory, Mother and Child Health Services, etc. St. Veronica’s Polyclinic has provided a constant and quality services to Cameroon’s healthcare delivery system.

ST FRANCIS SCHOOL OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY

Opened in October 1998 with the pioneer batch of 23 students, the school prepares students to become enrolled nurses and nursing assistants. Over its 10 year history, the school has trained more than 1300 students with a majority of its graduates being employed in institutions within Cameroon and beyond

ST FRANCIS HIGHER INSTITUTE OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY

The Higher Institute of Nursing and Midwifery offers Higher National Diploma programmes in Nursing, Laboratory Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, Health Care Management supervised by the the Ministry of Higher Education. Our graduates can function independently and collaboratively.
